the key to a successful trip

I will try my best to let this review do justice to Hayk. Before I even start; I would tell anyone going to Armenia to make sure you have Hayk as your tour guide; he’s definitely a cut above the rest and you will never regret it; his exquisite & passionate knowledge of Armenia was like living in a “History of Armenia” documentary; he left no stone unturned in explaining the sites we visited; it was like getting our own personal history lesson on Armenia (with a touch of humor  ), we learnt so many things about this great country Armenia that we never knew.

Hayk is always on time, he is very patient with his tourists and never rushes; and from the moment you meet Hayk, it’s non-stop, humor, jokes, back stories of Armenian history etc. As every tourist would be hustling around wanting to take pictures; with Hayk you are spellbound by his explanations, humor and advice on the best spots and angles for capturing memorable pictures. Even after the tour if you need anything or advice, he’s ever ready to help.

Oh and here’s a double whammy; our friends were celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary and Hayk made all the arrangements (at one of the oldest churches/monastery) to make their day a very memorable one, including arranging a place to change clothes after the ceremony and get back on the tour . I also told Hayk I wanted to propose to my partner (of 13 years) and like a Gene with the snap of a finger he made that happen too and it was beautiful.

The feeling Hayk leaves you with is like you have known Hayk for decades, and your experience with him will be etched in your brain .

We were fortunate to spend 2 and a half days with Hayk and every moment was amazing. He has encyclopedic knowledge of each place we went, and funny stories and jokes to keep us entertained. He knows all the best spots to stop for pictures, good food, restrooms, and always knew what we needed, and he went above and beyond many times (for instance making dinner reservations for us) We saw a huge amount of sights and never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Hayk as a tour guide. He’s definitely one of the best.

How we came to meet Hayk is a funny story (I’ll spare the details). Sadly, Hayk was not our guide, but throughout our 5 days in Armenia, we crossed paths 6 different times. Each time, we felt as though we were reuniting with an old friend and wished we could travel with him. My husband and I along with another couple visited Armenia for the first time in June 2017. Our tour was private and Hayk was our Tour Guide. He is like a walking encyclopedia. His deep knowledge of Armenian history, culture and traditions, make him a unique person and the best tour guide. His passion and pride towards his country was infectious. He quickly assessed our interests and customized our tour to accommodate all our needs/interests. Besides of all historical places, he took us to places such as a village with a whole row of long wooden poles and a huge stork’s nest on the top of each pole! It was exquisite!

It was February of 2017 when me and my friends decided went to armenia. When we reached the place, their is one guy named Hayk waiting to fetch us in the airport. He is really a nice guy. He could ever tell you the story behind everything in Armenia. From the moment we arrived until our last day trip. He speaks English fluently as if we could imagine that it is their main language. You will never be lost in Armenia if Hayk will be your tour guide. Hayk is also a generous person that he gave each one of us a souvenir which we have until now. Sounds great is in it? To sum up everything, if you decide to have a break and plan a trip. Armenia is one of the best destination you could visit. And to have a beautiful, memorable and educational tour. I highly suggest Hayk to be your tour guide to have an extreme and wonderful vacation. I could really guarantee you that you will never regret to have him as your tour guide. You could also have the best photos to upload in your album as he is also a good photographer. 😊😊 We really thank Hayk for having a great visit in Armenia.

I was doing my first solo travel when I met Hayk. He was recommended by a friend who also went in Armenia and had a fantastic trip over there. My time in Armenia wouldn’t be as amazing if not for Hayk’s hospitality and keenness to the details of his country’s history. He took me to many different historical landmarks and gave me juicy trivias about each of them. The whole trip seemed like a walk in a park as there were wonderful surprises along the way that only Hayk can magically show! I would love to see Hayk again and book another tour with him. You should, too! Because why not? He’s the best!

My partner and I did a 2 weeks tour in Armenia back in 2015 and we were so fortunate to have Hayk as our guide. His service is top notch and we were taken care of very well during our stay in Armenia. He also speaks fluent english and is so informative! Shared so many interesting stories with us about the culture, people and history of Armenia. Our stay in Armenia would definitely not be the same without him!

My wife and I did a 6-day tour with Hayk last October – and we had a wonderful time. We usually self-drive and love to explore a country on our own, but since we planned to enter Armenia overland from Iran and since it would have cost a fortune to have a rented car delivered down south we started looking for a guide/driver. Luckily, someone recommended Hayk online and he was happy to pick us up from the Iranian border and show us his country. It was a new experience for us to be driven/shown around – but one we soon learnt to appreciate.
Hayk is clearly an exceptional guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and highly committed to his job. He’ll do everything to make sure that your trip will be memorable – and he is fun to be with. Oh, and a good driver, too!
Hayk put together a fantastic itinerary for us, and we felt that his charges were more than fair. There’s truly nothing I can report that I wasn’t happy about. Very highly recommended!

I had a good time in Armenia with my family. Hayk designed a reasonable itinerary for me, he is very punctual and arriving before the time at the hotel reception. He knows the best places in Armenia and has an answer for every question. He took us to the good local Armenian restaurants, where we enjoyed local food.. Hayk is really a good human being and always with a smile on his face. my four year’s daughter “Swamini” was really comfortable with him, we meat his family and his daughter “Mari”. It was really a personal touch. From the airport pick up to drop, it was a mesmerizing journey.You gonna get the best deal for sure when you are with him.

Highly recommended, If you are in Armenian just be with Hayk to make your tour memorable.

If in Armenia you have to take Hayk as your travel guide. I’ve never seen a travel guide like him before. If in Yerevan if you haven’t taken his services you haven’t seen Armenia. The best tour guide in the world one can get. Experience it .

In the summer of 2015, I spent a day with Hayk. He drove me from Yerevan to Tbilisi. I was just really looking for a comfortable ride while passing by the border. But spending a day with Hayk was so much more than that! We stopped by at a lake, at least three monasteries, at least two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ate Armenian dishes, listened to Armenion songs, and ate unlimited fresh apricot! Ok, the apricots are only when in season. I had so much fun traveling with Hayk and it was very memorable. When in Armenia, I highly recommend traveling with him.

Armenia is a beautiful country and with Hayk as our guide it turned into one of the best trips we ever had. He became one of the gang and did everything possible to make it a memorable trip for us. When not with us, he suggested the best places to go for food, entertainment etc. which we would have missed out on if we were on our own.
He’s definitely convinced us to make a trip back, and when we do Hayk is the first guy we’ll call.

Actually,while I choosed Armenia as my next trip area,I just want to a new contry.But this is a very beautiful &unique place to see & play.I visited last autumn,the whole mountain is yellow and so beautiful.Ancient Church is different with europe church.
And our tour guide–Hayk is very professional & passionate.The whole tour is very smooth.Even though smog & small rain,we still have a lot of fun and visit a lot of different place.

Armenia is one of the most spontaneous trip I ever had and the most exciting so far. From the scenic view to the adventures and adreline rush. This place has a lot more to offer. And to add icing on the cake, we have Hayk as our guide. He is very knowlegeable about their history and culture and aside from that, he is a surprising guy! Yes! You heard me right. Hayk is a wonderful tour guide. He is knowledgeable in all topics concerning the history of Armenia and the various tourist attractions. His very friendly personality lends itself to an even more pleasurable journey through beautiful Armenia, the first Christian nation.
We hired Hayk to take us from Yerevan to Mehri, the most Southern city in Armenia that sits at the border with Iran. Then headed North to Tbilisi, Georgia for two days. Another wonderful country with loads of history. Then back South into Armenia to the Hermon resort hitting fruit stands and “not so touristy” hideway attractions along the way. We saw a lot for one week and still felt energized upon our return to Yerevan. Hayk is the consummate professional that my family can now call our Armenian brother. We had the pleasure to meet Hayk’s wife and family who treated us like family, and we are! You will be very pleased with the services, and friendship, that Hayk, and his family give open heartedly to you and your traveling companions. We highly recommend Hayk with our “Hayest” rating!!!

We have taken two journeys in Armenia with Hayk and both trips were wonderful. The first week long trip was covering more south of the country and the experiences we had were amazing. A year later we returned and travelled more north and then into Georgia. We met people with very different cultures from ours. We ate fabulous food and stayed in great hotels. All was organised ahead of our journey and everything was really smooth. We’ve never had such action packed weeks, where our guide Hayk, knew and informed us about politics, religion, culture, history, music, scenery, wine and food. I have recommended him to many people and have no hesitation in saying that he’s the best guide we have ever come across in our travels.

I have visited nearly 120 countries in the world, many with a guide so I can learn more about local culture than I would on my own. Unequivocally, Hayk is the best guide with whom I have had the pleasure of exploring a country—anywhere in the world. From my first email with him with a tour inquiry, he was prompt and detailed with his replies. I told him how much time I had in Armenia, what my budget was, and generally what I would like to see. He put together a beautiful, reasonably priced itinerary for me. My trip was in the middle of winter after a lot of snowfall, and his vehicle was well equipped to handle the road conditions, so well that we were able to visit a major sight, Tatev Monastery, when the road conditions suggested we wouldn’t be able to make it. He knew that sight was important to me and did his best to get me there, and it was gorgeous in the snow. I loved the drives with him because I sat with him in the front of the vehicle, and we spoke with each other as friends. As a small but important amenity, Hayk has an unlimited data plan on his mobile phone that he sets up as a hotspot, so I had the equivalent of WiFi on my phone and laptop throughout trip, which was especially helpful when we stayed in guesthouses that did not have WiFi. My birthday occurred during the trip, and on that day he arranged for us to go to a bakery to have cake, and he gave me a small and meaningful present: a framed photograph he took of me in front of a Soviet monument. It was a pleasure to get to know beautiful Armenia through him. I recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservations—as a knowledgeable and ambitious guide who will become a friend.

Hyke is amazing! We left Armenia with some beautiful memories and some super experiences, all thanks to him! He is so informative and smart and so humble and so so flexible with the schedule. He not only covered everything on our itinerary but also took us to places that were not a part of it! And all of this, with a big smile, ALWAYS! Do not see Armenia, if you dont have Hyke taking you around! You wont regret him being your guide, one bit!
